Artists with No Discipline is an art cadre that evolved out of the late night cabaret scene of Balls at the Southern, and the Romps of Bedlam Theatre. The art sport Zambonie became a focal point for the creative energies of Julian McFaul, and Mark Safford. The two spent years sparring and skating between scenes, making a scene, each with a single rollerblade. In 2008 our first year on the ice, the number of participants expanded again and because of the arrival of Ethan Johnson and Xena Huff, super engineer Stefan Thust, first mate Lara Berman and able Andy Ketl. As often happens the continued Barebones retinue appears including Douglas Saldana, Brent Harring, Eric Hofstad, Krista Pearson and the Godlike Adam Cook. The Robot Ice shanty was the product of these hearts, heads and hands, alongside each person it touched. This year we return with the Ship in the Bottle Shanty,which set sail in January and blew it out the same weekend having circumnavigated the shanty town in three runs.
